Buildex 2014 in Vancouver, BC

One of our most important shows each year is the Buildex exhibition in Vancouver, BC. Presented in the spacious Vancouver Convention Centre, Lynden Door | Alliance Door Products share booth 901 -- the first display you encounter as you enter the show hall!

Feb 21, 2014 - Please see our post-show report: http://www.lyndendoor.com/node/172

Our mission is to connect customers to suppliers and we feel that we are really delivering on this brand promise, as we incorporate displays and information from two, interesting new partners in our 20X20 booth:

mondoor canada is the North American iteration of a popular Dutch fenestration product. Mondoor assembles innovative sliding door hardware that, using the repellant force of opposed magnets, "floats" the door in the opening. The addition of powder coated frame & casing components ("architrave") and SOFT CLOSE devices make these doors the ultimate in safety, convenience and modern European style.

Mondoor, distributed by Alliance Door Products, will "levitate" doors made by Lynden Door. See the latest collection of contemporary door designs from Lynden Door (and also Simpson Door and Therma-Tru) in this trendspotting brochure from Alliance Door Products, available at the show: http://bit.ly/Mid2Mod

And while we are on the topic of INNOVATION, we are intrigued by the promise of a new product from Vancouver start-up, VanAir Designs.

Two local UBC grads (Mechanical Engineering | Commerce) have taken a bold, entreprenneurial step forward, combining solid engineering, attractive aesthetics and acoustical performance into a door that meets the needs of today's dwellings.

"VanAir Design aims to improve indoor environmental quality to enhance the quality of life and well being of people in buildings."

VanAir will be on hand with architectural and residential prototypes of their new door. Their design has strong heuristic underpinnings; field testing, consulting and R+D at UBC, including work in the Centre for Advanced Wood Processing (CAWP) lab on campus. We are confident that the concept has great potential and will serve a strong demand as indoor air quality takes on ever-greater importance in today's tightly sealed, energy efficient buildings.

Combining STC* doors from Lynden Door, equipped with a variety of air quality enhancements (No-VOC finishes, No Added Ureaformaldehyde components, etc.) and integrating VanAir's new ventilation design, results in a truly HIGH PERFORMANCE interior door.

We look forward to sharing these unique door concepts - and more! - with our friends and colleagues at the show. Please contact us for show passes or to arrange for a meeting at Buildex.

And we remind our Washington State customers that Van city is just a fast drive North on I5. Bienvenue! See you Feb 19-20.
